The Black Tools 40 ton Big Boy is the Professional choice for use on Hardwoods, this is the master of log splitters. Can be used as both Horizontal and vertical excellent choice for log enthusiasts at a realistic price.
The splitter is powered with a 14 hp 420cc XR200 Briggs and Stratton engine that gives you all the power you will need to split any of the toughest grade timber you want to split. This is a Log Splitter designed not for light-hearted jobs.

The log splitter is delivered well-packed and part-assembled on a wooden pallet. You should allow approx. 2 hours for the final assembly. Step-by-step assembly instructions in the manual, and an engine manual that comes with your log splitter. Assembly is not difficult. However, in the event that you require any assistance, we are happy to help you, just call. We can arrange the assembly of the Log Splitter for you for a fee of £180 paid in advance. however, we cannot offer a delivery service the item will have to be collected. You will need approx. 30 liters of hydraulic oil to make the device ready before use. Hydraulic oil of classification HLP46 would be ideal and is widely available. In addition, you will also need approx. 1.3 liter of engine oil for the engine. For this purpose, we recommend multi-grade oil 10W40 or 15W40. We can add the Hydraulic oil for an extra charge of £140 and engine oil for £15. If oil is added you will have to collect the log splitter as the carriers will not allow oil in the log splitter.
